I hope you and your family are as safe and comfortable as possible in these trying times. We’re all impacted by the economic uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, so please know that I am still here to help you in any way I can. Below is some important information that may apply to you and your finances.

Financial hardship: How is your lender helping?

If you are experiencing financial hardship or want to discuss your loan options, your first stop should be to check the Australian Banking Association website to see what assistance your lender is making available. If you find an offering that you are interested in, please get in touch with me. I can explain the pros and cons of any changes to your loan and help you make a completely informed decision about your finance.

Before considering a repayment holiday, read this:

You will likely be aware of lenders offering mortgage repayment holidays. Whilst these deferred payments are intended to ease financial stress on borrowers, it is vital to take a considered approach before making any changes to your repayments or general loan structure. If you are concerned about your financial security and want to explore your options, I urge you to get in touch with me in the first instance. I will be your source of the most up-to-date information and you can trust that I will always act in your best interests. To read more information on this check out my blog on, What if I Can’t Pay My Mortgage?

Your safety is my number one priority

I am set up to take care of you and your loan remotely and am running my business in compliance with the latest Australian Government advice and precautions. Most lenders have already changed their policies to no longer require face-to-face meetings and allow for electronic settlements and signing processes. I expect any remaining lenders to follow suit in the coming days.

Please note, in the quickly changing economic environment, lending policies could change frequently. As such, during the coming weeks, you may receive more emails from me than usual. I trust you will find the information I provide relevant and useful.
